Terms of service
Last updated 5 October 2026 (draft)
These terms are between you (the business using Ayrword) and [Your full name], trading as Ayrword, North Ayrshire, Scotland [contact email]. By creating an account you agree to them.
The service
Ayrword lets you keep a list of customers and send them a text asking for a Google review. We do not promise any number of reviews, or that a customer will reply or leave one.
Your responsibilities
- Permission. You must only add customers you are allowed to text, and you confirm this each time you add them. You are responsible for having that permission under UK law.
- Opting out. You must not try to text anyone who has opted out or asked you to stop, and you must not work around Ayrword's opt-out protection.
- Honest reviews. You must not write, buy or fake reviews, or ask only the customers you expect to be positive. Ask everyone you choose, fairly.
- Accurate details. Keep your review link and business details correct and your password private.
- No misuse. No spam, unlawful messages or anything that breaks a messaging provider's rules.
Price and payment
Plans and prices are shown on our website. Your first 30 days are free. After that we charge monthly in advance by card. A request longer than one text counts as more than one against your allowance. [Decide: overage price, or hard stop.]
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time by emailing us, and it takes effect the same day. There is no contract and no cancellation fee. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. [Decide: refund policy.]
Your data
You own your customer list. How we handle it is explained in the privacy policy. You can export or delete your data on request, and delete customers at any time.
When things go wrong
We work to keep Ayrword running but cannot promise it will always be available, or that texts will always be delivered, since delivery depends on mobile networks. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for lost reviews, lost business or indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. [Solicitor to set the liability cap.]
Ending the agreement
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example by texting people without permission. We will explain why where we can.
Changes
If we change these terms we will tell you before the change applies to you.
The law
These terms are governed by Scots law, and the Scottish courts can settle disputes. [Solicitor to confirm.]
